Places

Today, my head is in the clouds (and I have so much school work to do)... and I'm dreaming of being so many other places (other than here, studying, that is)!


1. Greece
Because, well, who doesn't?

2. Cambridge, UK
Yes, because I'm an English major.  Because I wish I were part of the Inklings Society. Because C.S. Lewis loved it here. And because I want to visit the Library!!
Plus, it is beautiful.

3. Mexico City
I've been here so may times.  It's my favorite place in the world.  And I don't even love big cities.  I don't know, maybe it's nostalgia.  I just love love love it here.

4. Star's Hollow
You get a million points if you know where this is from.
And yes, I want to be here, in this world, switching quips with these girls.

5. Switzerland
In middle school, I read Bloomability, and have wanted to go ever since.

    My husband and I are planning a London 2012 trip for the Olympics and now I'm thinking Cambridge is a stop we'll definitely need to make. C.S. Lewis is brilliant.

    Uhh, duh! Star's Hollow's with Rory & Loralei from Gilmore Girls! I would LOVE to live there and raise babies there!!!!

    Gilmore Girls was my favorite show! It'd be awesome to have a cup of coffee with Luke and the girls :)

    Also, love all your other destinations, especially Greece! So want to go there!

    A friend of mine is Greek, and his dad owns a huge olive grove in Greece, so he goes over there every year for a few weeks... how much do I want to do that?? So cool.

    In college I studied in London for a semester and I loved visiting Cambridge in the spring...it was lovely and fun...I didn't care much for Oxford. I love your list, I have many of the same places in my heart to visit!

    My friends and I were talking about wanting to live in Stars Hollow a few weeks ago! Yes please... Luke's always made me hungry. And I would love to work at Miss Patty's.

    Being an English major as well, Cambridge sounds like a good place to go. :] Although, in my opinion, anywhere in Europe is a good destination.

    Great list!

    Greece is the #1 place I want to go!! I might get to go next summer...fingers crossed.

    Does Stars Hollow really exist? If so, I wouldn't just want to visit...I would want to LIVE there!

    I actually got to visit Cambridge back in 2004 and we even got to visit Oxford. My brother is a huge CS Lewis fan. He is naming his son after him... Josiah Lewis.

    Having just come back from an amazing vacation back home to TX, I can't complain too much but I would absolutely love to be on a beach right now! It was GORGEOUS in TX...sunny and in the 80s the whole weekend and I came back to cold, rainy Boston. Bummer! Greece would definitely be at the top of my list too though!

    Number four, only to tell Lorelai to act like a mom - your daughter has plenty of friends. Sorry, just my opinion and we know what those are like...But I always wished there was a Star's Hollow. correction - an affordable Star's Hollow!

    Been to Mexico three times, but never Mexico City! You should post about it.

    Gilmore Girls! I would also love to spend a day with them in Stars Hollow :) I went to Greece on my honeymoon and it definitely does not disappoint! I would also love to go to Switzerland!

    Greece would be very cool. The university I go to has amazing study abroad programs and one of them is Greece. It's also the hardest to get into because everyone wants to go to Greece!

    I would personally (and am trying) to go to our Africa abroad program. It would be a great ministry opportunity.

    Oh. All of your dream places are mine too. Greece is my number one. I love the architecture and the culture. Plus, the sky is about a million times bluer than any place else. I love it. And Stars Hollow would be a cute little town to go to. Hey maybe we could all stay in the butterfly inn? :) Love the blog.
